There has never been a better time to get on your bike! E-Bikes are a traditional pedal bike but with a little electronic helping hand. A discreet motor in the crank and battery in the frame assist you effortlessly as you pedal, making the going much easier while still maintaining the very beneficial aerobic exercise you would expect. All you have to do is pedal, the motor will sense the power required to assist your efforts and apply it, making hills a breeze and maximising time in the saddle. Plus, an E-Bike is fun! In a word - heritage. Freerider hove been manufacturing, selling and supporting personal electric vehicles for over 25 years now, all over the world. This is our business, we're good at it! But, alongside a successful track record, here's a few other reasons. 

All our E-Bikes have a crank motor fitted. Other types of motors are available and they may be simple to fit and cheaper but it is recognised that the crank motors offer a better performance, maintaining efficient power delivery over a range of speeds and a more stable bike. Crank motors are usually more powerful than a hub motors, so tend to carry you up the hills easier. Our crank motors deliver a hefty 80Nm of torque. 

No corners are cut when it comes to battery integration. Many E-Bikes have a surface mounted battery, either on the frame or the luggage rack, that stands proud of the bike. It was essential to us that the battery didn't spoil the lines of the bike so we built it seamlessly into the bike frame, under lock and key. We use a Samsung l 7.5Ah Lithium Ion battery, capable of up to l 50Km continuous use.
